1. Weekly briefing (time change): County Executive Marc Elrich and health officials will hold their press briefing at 11 a.m. this week. Residents can watch live on MCM channels 21 and 995 (HD), County Cable Montgomery, and the county’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

2. Optional masks in MCPS: The Montgomery County Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously yesterday to make mask-wearing optional in schools and all MCPS-provided transportation “effective immediately.”

3. Alert consumers: Montgomery County Consumer Protection Office alert consumers regarding potentially misleading information on receipts provided by certain Jiffy Lube locations for oil changes or auto repair services.
