Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sales volume in October again exceeds 10,000 vehicles

Beijing (Gasgoo) – Monthly sales of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company Ltd. (DPCA), the joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Groupe PSA, once again exceeds 10,000 vehicles.

Today, DPCA announced a cumulative sales volume of 71,963 vehicles in the first ten months of this year, up 88% from a year ago.

In October, the joint venture sold 10,083 vehicles, remaining in place compared to the 10,089 vehicles in September. Notably, September was the first month for the company to sell more than 10,000 vehicles in the past 21 months, and the company maintained its September record.

In addition, during the recent Wuhan Motor Show 2021, DPCA presented its entire “French” range.

Dongfeng Citroën unveiled its limited edition C5 AIRCROSS SUV at the show. The company said the SUV will be ready for sale in November, with a limited supply of 500 vehicles.

For the six-day span of the show, the company received a total of 1,217 orders, updating its record for sales at the 2021 auto show.

In early September, the company’s Citroën Versailles C5 X hit the market. As a Class B car starting at 143,700 RMB ($ 22,280), the Versailles C5 X is manufactured in the DPCA factory in Chengdu and sold worldwide. The first batch of Versailles C5 X exported to Europe left the Chengdu factory on September 6.
