Our home is unique in so many ways and was a wonderful place to raise our family. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with many natural amenities. We have a 110 acre forest reserve on the next block to go exploring and spending time with nature. It’s full of wild animals. We also have land on the lake where we can spend fun time with the family boating and fishing on our own property. The neighbors are all very friendly and respectful and the association fee is only $75 per year. The fee covers insurance, maintenance, lights, and multiple celebrations held throughout the year. The property of the association, which is transferred with this property, has many footpaths around the subdivision and all along the edge of the lake. You also have the right to obtain a place each year on one of the many quays of the association. The association has a large park with a playground, the use of which is free for all who live there. Property taxes here are the lowest in the county and you have the most freedom here as it is unincorporated. The house has many upgrades such as a newer roof, retaining wall, super high efficiency boiler for heating, newer well pump, water softener, pumps, appliances, counters and hardwood floors. The bathroom has been remodeled with new tub tiling, counters, tile flooring and cabinetry. The rear building has a 3 car garage/store with ample office/storage space above. The heating and cooling in the rear building and garage are all super efficient with zoning for upper and lower levels. There is a 50 amp RV hookup and plenty of parking on site. The garage was heavily insulated and the 3 exterior garage doors are the best price one can buy with r21 insulation ratings. The original owner owned the hardware store in Fox Lake and did auto repair as a side business to the home. We also had a home business which we were able to do due to the wonderful layout of this property. The home also has a zoned cooling system for maximum efficiency and comfort. We had no intention of moving, so the house is set up to handle unforeseen emergencies. We have a backup generator setup area in the garage with muffler and exhaust installed. We have a tornado room/bunker in the basement with 12″+ concrete walls all around for added security. We have an undisclosed underground storage area to keep valuables away from prying eyes. The property is surrounded by a privacy fence and a metal dog fence at the rear to keep the puppies in. There is almost an acre of land included with the 7 lots. The pier on the lake is included and up to 4 lifts can be parked here. The McHenry Dam lowers the water from the lake in the fall so the lifts are perfectly positioned so you don’t have to remove them, allowing for saving hundreds a year.People will ask to rent a spot on the pier every year which we haven’t capitalized on but is very valuable. The property is minutes from the Fox Lake Metra station which is the last Chicago stop. It’s the perfect place to raise a family and u n paradise for preppers and with all the chaos in the world today, you couldn’t find a safer place than this. are as shown 0516303001, 05163030 02, 0516303003, 0516303004, 0516305026
