“We are delighted with the recognition of santa cruz and Palisade in this year’s JD Power APEAL study,” said Olabisi Boyle, Vice President, Product Planning and Mobility Strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. “The palisade and santa cruz both have road presence, premium interiors, human-centric technology and advanced Hyundai SmartSense safety features. This recognition is the result of our organization-wide commitment to delivering vehicles that exceed our customers’ expectations.”
- The US APEAL 2022 study, now in its 27e year, is based on responses from 84,165 buyers and lessees of new model year 2022 vehicles who were surveyed at the start of the ownership period.
- The study asks vehicle owners to consider 37 attributes 90 days after vehicle purchase, ranging from how powerful they feel when pressing the accelerator to how comfortable they feel when climbing into the seat of the driver. JD Power then aggregates the responses to generate an overall APEAL score on a 1,000 point scale.
- The study took place from February to May 2022.
