Lifan Technology posts 1,576% YoY increase in NEV sales in September 2022


Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Lifan Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. (“Lifan Technology”) announced on October 9 that it sold 4,542 vehicles in September 2022, which represents a staggering increase of 2,002.78% year-on-year.

Of the vehicles sold last month, 3,352 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), indicating four-digit growth of 1,576% year-over-year.

In terms of year-to-date performance, Lifan Technology sold 31,852 vehicles in the first three quarters of the year, reflecting an increase of 9,581.46% over the same period of the year. last year. In particular, his Jan.-Sept. NEV sales amounted to 22,787 units, up 7,322.48% from the previous year.

The flourishing sales growth was supported by a strong increase in production volume. In September, Lifan Technology produced 3,610 vehicles, up 931.43 percent from the previous year’s level. Its NEV segment saw a 359.43% year-over-year jump with 1,608 units sold last month.

For the first nine months of 2022, Lifan Technology saw its cumulative automatic production increase by 3,439.97% year-on-year to 23,293 units, of which 11,389 units (+1,663% YoY) were of NEVs.

For clarity, NEV sales reported by the company included sales volumes of vehicles produced and sold by Lifan Technology, Zhejiang Geely Automobile Company Limited and Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
