A global engineering services company and publicly listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited, L&T Technology Services Limited on Thursday inaugurated its Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) center in Krakow, Poland, which will cater to global customers, taking advantage of technologies in the automotive, mobility and high-tech fields.

The center marks an expansion into Eastern Europe. The ER&D center will serve several major customers in Europe and North America, including a top tier automotive company based in the United States.

In the new engineering R&D center, LTTS will work on both software and hardware development of the product lines. This center is part of LTTS’ global delivery model and is a logical extension of LTTS’ Munich, Gothenburg and Jerusalem engineering centers, allowing the new center to bring in specialist skills as well as local talent, the company said. .

Abhishek Sinha, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of L&T Technology Services, said, “By establishing this important center in Poland, we aim to provide our customers in Europe and North America with the expertise LTTS’s longstanding history of new era engineering. and embedded technologies. We also seek to tap into the local engineering talent pool for many of our critical global programs, and will work with local government and academia to further develop the local ecosystem. LTTS plans to hire up to 300 engineers over the next three years for the center, he said.

LTTS will also use its in-house Global Engineering Academy (GEA) to enable employees to retrain and enhance their domain knowledge and align it with customer requirements while exploring opportunities to collaborate with AGH University in Krakow, l Krakow University of Technology and Coventry University based in the UK. developing the engineering talent pool in Poland.
