Rhondda Cynon Taf planning nominations week ending March 27


The following planning applications were submitted to Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council over the past week.

The list of applications received is as follows:

  • Remove existing double-fronted wood storefronts, entry doors and facades and replace with new traditional wood fronts and facades. Conservation of existing shutters at 6D Taff Street, Pontypridd.
  • Change of use from retail to domestic use at Shop, 5 Wern Street, Clydach, Tonypandy.
  • Release of Condition 3 (Construction Method Statement) of Application 21/1489/10 on the land east of the railway line (Sardis Bridge) and west and north of the ‘A5058 (Sardis Road) Graig, Pontypridd.
  • Proposed single storey extension to side and rear of Red Roofs, Llantrsant Road, Groes-Faen, Pont-Y-Clun, Pontyclun.
  • Prior notification of demolition of school buildings. The site will be graded and securely fenced to prevent unauthorized access for possible future development after demolition at Rhiwgarn County Infants School, Waun Wen, Trebanog, Porth.
  • Expansion of the premises, the majority of which is under the existing entrance canopy. Extension of the existing patio on the cantilever structure of the Lakeside Buildings, Clydach Vale Country Park, Clydach, Tonypandy.
  • Proposes to locate an outdoor sports hall with ten facilities on the Tynybryn Park site, Tynybryn Road, Tonyrefail.
  • Proposed change of use from a retail store (A1) to a fast food pizzeria (A3) including minor external changes to doors and windows and the addition of a new flue at 56a Jubilee Road , Aberaman, Aberdare.
  • The proposed change of use of vacant land north of Earthmovers House for the creation of a paved area for vehicle parking, storage, diversion of a public footpath (Llantrisant 223) and associated works at Unit 16 Earthmovers House, Llantrisant Business Park, Llantrisant, Pont-Y-Clun, Pontyclun.
  • Proposed new signage scheme at 6d Taff Street, Pontypridd.
  • Ground floor extension to the house shower room at 33 Bron Haul, Cwm-Bach, Aberdare.
  • Single storey rear extension at 6 Ffordd Hann, Talbot Green, Pontyclun.
  • Modification of condition 2 (plans) of the planning permit ref. 20/1082/10 to include an ATM, five ventilation openings and two satellite dishes at The Co-Operative Food, 30 Cardiff Road, Taff’s Well, Cardiff.
  • Two-storey rear extension with flat roof at 75 Francis Street, Thomastown, Tonyrefail, Porth.
  • Legal Development Certificate for the conversion of a barn into a residential dwelling (existing) at The Barn, Llan Farm, Llanwonno Road, Perthcelyn, Mountain Ash.
  • Freestanding garden room at Orchard House, Common Road, Pontypridd.
  • Change of use of the first and second floors from office space used in association with the ground floor commercial unit (A1) to a one bedroom apartment at 63 High Street, Ferndale.
  • Revised layout of the two-storey side extension, removal of the first floor rear extension and revised layout of the ground floor rear extension at 2 Glan Nant, Ynysybwl Road, Glyn-Coch, Pontypridd.
  • Juliette balcony, single storey rear extension with French doors, raised deck and detached garage at 17 Pentwyn Avenue, Tyntetown, Abercynon, Mountain Ash.
  • Change of use from Hand Car Wash (Sui Generis) and Valeting Center (Class B1) to a storage facility (Class B8) comprising ten storage containers at Land Adjacent To Avw Auto Services, 13-15 Cardiff Road, Aberaman, Aberdare .
  • Single storey rear extension at 158 ​​Bryn Derwen Park, Llanharan, Pontyclun.
  • First floor above existing extension at 23 Morgan Street, Gadlys, Aberdare.
  • Erecting a 2.1 meter high fence and barriers along the western boundary, to secure the site and prevent illegal dumping of flies (amended plans received 9th February 2022) at Land To The East Of Glynmynach Street , Ynysybwl, Pontypridd.
  • Barn proposed to accommodate a sports hall with a synthetic turf area and parking associated with the Visitor Centre, Dare Valley Country Park, Dare Road, Cwmdare, Aberdare.
